Eduardo Dávila is the new President and CEO of SABSEG, set to drive its expansion in Southern Europe with support from Miura Partners. His background strengthens the group’s regional growth strategy.
Eduardo Dávila, Operating Partner at Miura Partners (Miura) and Senior Advisor at McKinsey&Co, has been appointed President and CEO of SABSEG to drive growth and consolidation of the insurance brokerage market in southern Europe.
Dávila's more than 20 years of experience as a top executive leading change in culturally diverse contexts and his deep knowledge of the insurance industry make him the ideal profile to lead this expansion project.
Currently, SABSEG is the leading independent insurance broker in the Iberian Peninsula, made up of specialized brokerages in business niches, 22 to date. This strengthening in the management will allow Sabseg to continue growing in Spain and Portugal, as well as begin to consolidate market presence in other geographies in southern Europe.
Miguel Machado will continue to be the President and CEO of Sabseg Portugal and Carles Alsina, until now the CEO of Sabseg Spain, will rejoin Miura as Operating Partner after a phase of gradual and orderly transition. During his time at the helm of SABSEG, the group has consolidated its presence in Spain and Portugal, reaching €650 million in premiums and 710 employees.
